I hope everyone has enjoyed their first week of college at FSU. I think we have a really good group this summer, and I'm looking forward to reading everyone's work and helping you all grow as writers, students, and people--both physical and digital.
So far, we've had three readings that pertain to female authors and their philosophies on writing: Anne Lamott's "Shitty First Drafts," Lorrie Moore's "How to Become a Writer," and Gail Godwin's "The Watcher at the Gates." For this week's blog post I'd like you to compare and contrast these three essays. Analyze the similarities and differences in their approaches to writing, and make sure to include some thoughts on how you can learn from their advice. Please do so in roughly 400 words.
Have a great weekend, and a great Independence Day!
